Councilwoman Katrina Avers on priorities and GO Bond Projects:

When I took office, my priorities were clear based on what I heard from our neighbors:

• Resurfacing residential streets in poor condition

• Widening and resurfacing key arterial streets

• Updating police, fire, and traffic systems

• Establishing an Oklahoma City Park/Community Center in Ward 3

• Improving drainage control and bridge repair

In the 2025 GO Bond, Ward 3 projects include:

• Arterial resurfacing: more than 100 miles

• Widening projects: 11 miles on SW 29th and S Cemetery Road

• Residential resurfacing: neighborhoods such as Westbury North, Rio Bella (Sections One & Two), Zedna 3rd Addition, Belmonte Crossing, Rolling Meadows, Polo Estates, Skyline Estates, Rancho Acres, Ball Ranch, and Westwood Heights

• Police and Fire Station additions serving Ward 3

• Parks: improvements at Southlakes Park and the construction of Swisher Park

Comprehensively, we will have almost 95% of the roads in SW OKC improved over the next 10 years and the establishment of a multi-generational regional park with sports facilities, trails, and community meeting space.

Together, we can make sure Ward 3 gets the infrastructure investment it needs. Let’s vote for our roads, safety, and a brighter future.
